Melissa works with individual adults (18+) — she is not currently accepting couples, families, or minors. Her approach is long-term and depth-oriented rather than quick-fix or solution-focused; if you're looking to explore root causes and build lasting change rather than rapid symptom relief, this may be a good match.
Polar, a UDS Facility Dog, is present for in-person sessions. If you have a dog allergy or are uncomfortable around dogs, telehealth may be a better option for you. Melissa walks alongside adults working through trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions, offering a space that feels safe enough to slow down in.
Her approach draws on:
• Advanced EMDR Trained
• Somatic approaches
• Attachment-based work
• DBT-informed/CBT approaches for symptom stabilization
• Sandtray
Therapy here is relational and paced to where you are — not rushed, not prescriptive, and
never one-size-fits-all.
